Drippy Letters

By Kathybarbro @KathyBarbro
Drippy Letters This is a variation of my Geometric to Organic Shapes project, just using letters instead.
1. Students used watercolor based markers and stencils to make a series of colored letters across their page.
2. They used small eye droppers to drip water on the letters, and the tip the paper until it ran off the page. A paper towel is dabbed on the runs to help them dry.
3. Students used a fine tip black marker to trace the edges of all the cool, organic shapes that were made. The more runs and tracing you have, the more interesting the art, in my opinion.
