She said all this while she was leaving the door.
I could only watch her back as she walked away. I was depressed yet I knew what I had to do. After all,

Today, it has been 25 years since our marriage. She was sitting beside me, doodling something in my hand.

I smiled at her and could feel my eyes crinkle. I replied,
"Girl, you are a treasure worth fighting for. Stop thinking that you are worthless. You are better than tons of people out there.
As for why I came after you?
I couldn't lose my treasure and my love.

I didn't. It was a chance I had to take. I had nothing to lose, so I gave in my everything.

She looked up at me and held my hand. She leaned in and gave me a peck on the lips.
Then she kept her hand on my shoulder and we both gazed at the sunset until she slept.
She didn't know, but I heard the last murmuring coming out of her mouth before she went to sleep on my shoulder.
