This snake made for a fun drawing in
my afterschool class recently. I made a plan for drawing the snake on
top of a branch, and then erasing the parts that wouldn’t show. It
guarantees that the snake segments will all line up with each other.
1. Follow the diagram above to draw a snake in pencil.
2. Trace the lines with a black Sharpie marker.
3. Color the snake and tree with crayons – the heavier coloring the better.
4. Paint the background with watercolor paints.
