Former Director General Institute of Strategic Studies Dr Shireen Mazari, who had parted her ways from Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) last year, on Monday announced to rejoin Imran Khan’s party.
She announced the decision during a meeting with PTI chief at her residence on Monday. Pivotal PTI leader Naeem-ul-Haq also attended the meeting.
While speaking to media, Shireen Mazari said Imran Khan came at her home on Monday night on dinner and advised her to rejoin his party after which she accept his offer and announced to rejoin PTI.
Shireen Mazari said she is rejoining the party with a new vision, adding after the intra-party elections within PTI the real democracy has been materialized, which will give better results in future.
Shireen Mazari, who previously served as Central Vice President of the PTI, had tendered her resignation from the basic membership of PTI on September 26, last year following the differences with party leadership.
