This one's a slam dunk...head on !
I was thrilled about this one mainly coz I had been on the look out for ways to wearing this parka and the above inspiration picture of CHLOE MORETZ (courtesy Instyle magazine Sundance editorial) couldn't have come at any better time. This jacket, now sold out online had been hibernating in my fall/winter wishlist coz apparently Little Miss Wise ( MOI ) was not willing to shell out the initial $98 price tag. Fall flung by and the price reduced to $65, I still took a pass. Rolled in winter and this item became weather redundant, went through a major markdown, the price tag then $44. Still not tempting enough. I waited and waited as I was aware that Piperlime sends out extra percent off markdown coupons and I knew it was coming soon. I guess Santa was gracious enough and so he brought me an extra 60% coupon in my email. So Christmas day I ordered it and welcomed it home in 2014. Guess how much I paid for it ????? A tiny price of $17 plus tax....A perfect New Year's gift from me to me ....!Now shifting gears from the show-stopper jacket to Chloe a bit. So she is wearing a check shorts. She braved the cold and donned a pair but I could not partake in this non-winter trend and picked out to wear a similar look boyfriend shirt with a pair of pleather pants. The jacket clones her's except for the sequin sleeves that leave my heart racing, each time I look at them.....*_* !
