Don’t Let Weddings Take Over Your Life

By Claire

I reckon everyone reading this blog post will know what I mean when I say ‘life before weddings’. Remember before you were engaged, when you’d go out with friends, snuggle up with your fella in the evenings, spend lunch breaks gossiping or in the shops? Somehow you had more time?

I read a great post on The Boho Wedding Blog yesterday. Kelly is a wedding planner and one of the top UK wedding bloggers. She talked about her work life balance and I think so many of us can identify with weddings taking over our lives.

Bride- or groom-to-be, wedding business owner – one thing we all have in common is that we live and probably dream weddings. There’s something very strange in the world of wedding planning where you find life disappears and you can live in a state of constant near-panic, juggling to do lists and spreadsheets, budgets and appointments until you almost pop.

So how can we stop, redress the situation, get our lives back, enjoy wedding planning and have fantastic, stress-free weddings and successful wedding businesses?
