Dolly Review: Hujoo Nano Rabi

By Ashley Brooke, Kewpie83 @KewpieDoll83

Hujoo is on a roll.  New to the Hujoo 12 cm family is Nano Rabi, an anthro bunny!  I’ve been asking for some variety in their anthro line and this definitely fits the bill!

Nano Rabi is a 12 cm rabbit. While I’m not sure what wigs will fit this little rabbit, she wears 12 mm eyes.  Nano Rabi currently comes in three colors- white, light grey and pink.

As usual, Nano Rabi is made of strung ABS plastic.  She’s sold without a face up, eyes or wig.

For some of us, hearing ‘no face up’ is a bit scary sounding, but here’s the thing– Hujoo’s are pretty easy to customize.  If I can do it, you can do it!

Nano Rabi’s body is the same body used for the Nano Freya, right down to the clawed hands and feet.

She’s strung tightly and holds poses well.  Nano Rabi has joints at the shoulders, elbows, wrists, thighs, knees, ankles and chest.  Of course, the head tilts up, down, left and right, allowing for lots of movement!

The thing that I think is most important to talk about regarding Nano Rabi is the unique face mold created for this ball jointed doll.  Nano Rabi has an egg shaped sort of head with short pointy bunny ears.  The head cap, that has in the past been complicated to take off/put on, works fine.  Instead of having two pegs inside the head, there is just one.  It’s pretty easy to twist Nano Rabi’s head cap off.

The eye holes are round, not almond shaped like most bjd’s I’ve seen.  That worried me a bit, as I wasn’t sure if that meant we would need different eyes for this anthro.

Thankfully, though, my worries were in vain.  Nano Rabi takes regular 12mm eyes.  They look, to me, very different inside a Nano Rabi head than a traditional almond shaped eye- much more animal like.  I really like the effect!

One very important thing to note is that unlike the large Hujoo’s, you will need putty to hold your eyes in.  Nano Rabi doesn’t come with eye attachments.  It is a little tough putting the eyes into these guys, because their head is so tiny, but hang in there and you’ll get it!

While I would have preferred more floppy ears,  I understand that may have been a little difficult to do.  I’m very happy with how these guys photograph and am loving that they are pretty much to scale for MiWorld and AG Mini rooms.

Overall, I think Nano Rabi is super cute.  The 12 cm size is perfect for a pocket or purse doll, easy to customize, and most importantly, affordable!  Nano Rabi is available at The Junky Spot or wherever else Hujoo‘s are sold.

I posted a video review of these cuties on YouTube.  Watch it below!

I also recorded footage of the face up process, in hopes of turning it into a video!  Stay tuned for that!
