Below are rumors and theories, broken up into episodes. Consider at least some of the below information as potential spoilers, but also with a grain of salt. As rumors and theories are proven accurate or inaccurate, they will be marked appropriately.
First Episode – Title Unknown.
Jack the Ripper is rumored to be the villain of the episode. {Link}
Madame Vastra’s Timeline.
The rumored villain of the episode is Jack the Ripper, which goes against the already established timeline for Madame Vastra.
When we’re first introduced to Madame Vastra in A Good Man Goes to War she has just come back from an investigation where she tells Jenny that she’d found him and that he was “stringy but tasty” suggesting she killed him. It could be argued that Capaldi’s Doctor meets up with Madame Vastra earlier in her timeline, before she finds Jack the Ripper, but when the TARDIS shows up, Jenny is unfamiliar with it or the Doctor, showing that A Good Man Goes to War to be her first introduction to him. Also, we’ve seen that Strax is also present, which also sets this to be after A Good Man Goes to War.
The two possible theories would be that the man Madame Vastra found and ate, ended up not being Jack the Ripper, or when she found him, she merely maimed him rather than kill him, and he’s returned.
The point of when this episode occurs for the Pastnoster Gang is up in the air, as we’ve seen not only Strax wearing his Sontaran armor under his tux, but also we’ve seen images of Victorian Clara. Likely scenario pointing to Capaldi’s first adventure occurring after A Good Man Goes to War and prior to the events of The Snowmen.
