DOCTOR WHO: Next Two Seasons WILL NOT Take Midseason Breaks!

Posted on the 10 January 2014 by Geekasms @geekasms

Here’s the news us Whovians have hoped to hear: we will not be dealing with split seasons anymore (or at least for the next two)

Steven Moffat revealed during an interview with Doctor Who Magazine, there the upcoming seasons will not be split:

We’re not going to do splits, and the same format will repeat exactly the following year like that — so it will be the traditional form.

So that means the upcoming Season 8, and then season 9, will go straight through, which really, in my opinion, helps with Peter Capaldi’s new Doctor.

One downside is that this seems to debunk the rumored possibility of having an Easter Special this year to help with the long gap between new episodes.

right now, Season 8 is said to start this fall, likely in September.
