DIY How to lighten dark lips

Here is an easy DIY project you can use to lighten your dark lips. You’re going to need the following:

Milk
Turmeric
Toothbrush

What are these used for?

Milk – is a natural whitener. It is used widely in almost all DIY skin whiteners.

Turmeric – is a potent natural antioxidant and is very good on skin.

Toothbrush – is a very good exfoliator used especially on sensitive parts of skin like lips. It’s small and soft bristles mildly scrub off the dead skin cells allowing new healthy cell to resurface.

How to use

1. Make a paste from the mixture of milk and turmeric.
2. Dampen lips with water and scrub off gently with toothbrush.
3. Apply the turmeric paste on your lips and let it sit for 3-5 minutes. Don’t leave it too long. Exfoliate again using the toothbrush very gently.
4. It should not take more than 3-5 minutes to avoid scraping off the healthy cells and should be done lightly.
5. Pat dry your lips and apply your favorite lip balm to add extra moisture.

It might take few weeks before you will start to notice a difference on your lips but don’t worry because anything natural wont harm your skin so it’s okay to keep on doing this until you achieve your goal or to at least lighten your dark lips. If you don’t like to use toothbrush, you can use granulated brown sugar instead.
