Diy: High Waist Pants

Retro fashion is Retro because it is meant to be back sometime again.
I have seen this constant thing in fashion, when people get tired of discovering new styles and experimenting, they go back down the years and reinvent the old styles, which is a good way to never let that style fade away. Actually some trends never fade like I studied in the fashion theory (many fashion grads would know that) : there are 3 types of style - Classic, Fashion and Fad
Classic that is meant to stay forever. The style never fades like PolkasFashion that is here to stay for an year or two or more like the Aztec printFad that disappears in a while mostly due to mass production of its cheaper varieties like the long skirt trend once (though its back in vogue again).
While I was wondering at the long pile of dad's clothes in the store that all were too old-fashioned to be worn now, I got stuck at these mustard pants and they were high waist-ed too, since it was a men's  fashion back then. The waist fitted well, all I did was a stitch on the two sides and a fold at the bottom. It looked well even without any alterations, but just to make it look a little less baggy. What better was to pair them up with whites, the color of summers. I added a blue cotton hat and blue Ikat print flip flops to complement the look overall and break the monotony of earthy shades.
