I wrote the post The Purse, back in May, as a way of working through my gut reactions to observing my two-year-old son playing with his sister’s toy purse. My gut reaction wasn’t pretty.

I have obviously struggled with this, and continue to do so. In my mind, gender neutrality feels like a Utopia at which we may never arrive.
