As I said on Monday, I absolutely adore Raf Simons' first-ever haute collection for Dior. Ever since Raf took over this iconic fashion house, I (and many others) have been dying to know how he'll incorporate his signature style with that of Dior's.
Well, with a surprising lack of pomp and circumstance, Raf showed that he was born to design for Dior. The collection was a sleek interpretation of Christian Dior's famous New Look with its fitted suits and 1950s style dresses. But never one to copy, Raf infused his own design sensibility into the collection with his clean lines and stunning color palette. I thought the use of red, cobalt blue, yellow, and pink set against a backdrop of black and gray was utterly pitch perfect.
It was an absolutely painstaking process to decide on my favorite looks, as I would gladly take home every piece in this collection. But, with a bit of work, I've made my picks (above and below). So, tell me... which looks were your favorite?
