Phoenix’s first single since 2009′s Wolfgang Amadeus Phoenix, “Entertainment,” is barely beyond its stage of infancy and already receiving the full remix treatment. Dinosaur Jr.’s “remix”– which is actually a completely re-worked cover– strips the plush, poppy track of all its shine in favor of a bare, bluesy sound. The result is a slow, melancholy southern rock ballad that could almost be its own, quite excellent, single.
