Veteran Bollywood actor Muhammad Yusuf Khan popularly known as Dilip Kumar was admitted to the Lilavati Hospital on Sunday evening after he complained of uneasiness. Doctors attending him diagnosed a heart attack.
Udaya Tara Nayar, a close friend of Dilip Kumar said: “He is better and his health is improving steadily. He is still in the ICU, but he is fine.”
The Tragedy King of Indian Cinema, Dilip Kumar was hospitalised on Sunday evening and some reports have pronounced him dead. Nayar requested people not to spread such rumours about him.
According to Uday Nayar, the yesteryear actress and wife of Dilip Kumar, Saira Banu is by his side all the time.
He further said: “Saira has been such a great human being; she is always by his side and praying for him. She does so much for him; she is such a good wife and has a lot of self-confidence.”
The 90 year old actor was active on the big screen for six decades and in the year1998 he decided to retire.
