1. Intrapersonal Vs Interpersonal Intelligence.
Intra means, "Within" and Inter means, "Between". Intra means the thoughts, actions and emotions that are related to you and others within youself whereas inter means the thoughts, actions and emotions that you exchange between or among people around you. The difference between intrapersonal conflict and interpersonal conflict is the conflict that happens withing yourself and the conflict that happens with others respectively.2. Definition/Meaning: "Intra" means within. The thoughts, feelings and opinions that is happeningwithin yourself is intrapersonal attitude. Intrapersonal theory revolves around your own attitude and your personal values, and once you know your attitude you can either change it, cherish it or maintain it. It is about how much are you aware of self, social and sense. It includes your Behavior (Etiquette and Manners), Emotions, Actions and Thoughts (BEAT).
Understanding and managing your internal thoughts for a desired outcome. Examples of intrapersonal skills include self-esteem, self-confidence, patience, using positive self affirmation words during inner conflicts, self-worth and self-realization to name a few. Understanding yourself, your motives, intentions, thoughts and behavior in certain life situations will help to resolve intrapersonal conflicts and to comprehend your life.
List of intrapersonal skills include creative thinking (SCAMPER technique for instance), creative learning (for example, using mnemonic devices to remember things), self-awareness, self-regulation, self motivation, self management skills and creative personal decision making skills.
3. What is Interpersonal Intelligence?
Interpersonal Skills Definition/Meaning: To explain interpersonal skills in simple terms, "Inter" means "Between". Effective Interpersonal relationships is the relationship that exists between you and another person. You must understand different personalities and the behavior of others either to show empathy or to negotiate or persuade others. Your thoughts and understanding about others, the way you interact and your intentions behind the communication is called interpersonal intelligence. So, It is all about excellent interpersonal communication that include effective verbal and non-verbal communication. Effective verbal communication include effective listening, effective questioning skills, use of eloquent language, for example, use of figure of speech, learn to say no politely, giving and recieving compliments and constructive feedback, using rapport building statements, delivering persuasive presentations skills that include using attention getters, transition statements and creative introductions during presentation, and negotiate with others. It also includes the prosody of your language. It is also being aware of verbal communication barriers such as mother tongue influence (MTI), avoiding verbal fillers in speech, and negative words and statements and interpersonal conflict handling skills. One of the basic difference between interpersonal skills and intrapersonal skills is, "Intra" means withing oneself and, "Inter" means between peopleBeing aware of various kinds of human behavior such as proactive, reactive, assertive, aggressive, passive, empathy, apathy and sympathy.
