We have had a lot inquiries about our new Issaquah Highland store: where we are at in the build out, what it’s going to look like, how big it’s going to be, when are we going to open and what store are around us?
When will it be done?
As of right now the builders are 5 weeks late on handing us over the building. That’s the bad news, but the good news is our personal contractor, Chuck Reasy (husband to owner Peggy Reasy) is amazing at turning around these salons, as he has already built all three Sorella Salons. Our projected open date is still in the fall sometime, just in time for the busy winter season.
What will the décor look like?
We are the most excited about have transferable salon stations. This will allow us to open the 2,000 square feet salon space for anything that we can dream of. We are the most excited about having this space for our educational classes. We have multiple classes a year and it’s been painfully tight the last few events because our team is getting so big! We will also be utilizing our open space for a runway to host fashion shows, as well as doing photoshoots for editorial work, internal marketing and inspiration portfolios. Peggy, our design guru is dreaming up a polished-rustic theme. It will have clean lines with a hint of the traditional Italian look. Can’t wait to see this in real life!
How big will the salon be?
If you are a patron of the current Issaquah Highland store you know that on a busy day there is just not enough space. Although this is a good problem to have, generally speaking, is been extremely stressful for our team and ownership. No need to fret! We are going to have plenty of room! The space is 4,000 sq.ft. in total. The salon portion is approximately 2,000 sq.ft. We will have 8-9 shampoo stations. An open concept back bar system. Our retail space is 1,000 sq.ft. of where we will be carrying multiple hair care lines. We will have one spa room. And a generous back room for our team, with personal lockers and a lunch table so they can sit and eat! (Bet they are jumping for joy right now)
What stores are around Sorella?
One of the main reasons we picked this space is because we are right next to the two-level parking garage. We know how important parking is for the convenience our guests! We are right next to Zumiez and the Regal Movie Theater. Which is perfect, kids can shop or watch a movie while their mom is getting their hair done. One minute walk to Starbucks and the new Safeway and across the street from the amazing Opal Boutique. We especially love the water feature with a courtyard that is located to the east of our salon. We are conveniently located not just for the community, but anyone who make this there destination salon.
