Dermalogica’s UltraRich Body Cream

By Jackiebernardi @JackieBernardi

Product Review

The first time I used this body cream I was in the loo.  Not just any loo, but the loo at Dermalogica’s international corporate headquarters in Carson, California.  Instead of the standard hand soap, Jane Wurwand (Founder of Dermalogica) was thoughtful enough to provide both the Conditioning Body Wash and the UltraRich Body Cream for use in their restrooms.  The Conditioning Body Wash is lovely, but the Body Cream is fabulous.

The thing I noticed first was the consistency.  It is creamy — more like heavy whipping rather than a butter, which makes spreading it around your body fast and easy.  It smells refreshing and clean, not perfume-y at all.  I love that it has no artificial fragrances or colors.  Another really nice quality is that it does not have that sticky after-feel that so many body creams have.

Body Cream

Directions:

By now you probably know that I am a big fan of applying products on damp skin–not wet, damp.  This traps moisture in between the product and your skin.  This makes the hydration last longer.  Apply this body cream after you have towel-dried from your shower or bath.  Reapply as necessary.

“Tip for very dry feet: soak feet in warm water for 10 minutes, apply UltraRich Body Cream,  then wrap feet with plastic wrap. Put socks over plastic wrap and leave on for at least 30 minutes.  When you are done, remove the socks and plastic, wipe off residual cream, and enjoy your happy feet!”
