I appreciate the opportunity to review the following product courtesy of dermalogica & iFabbo.
All thoughts & opinions are my own.
I am ALL about having fabulous skin. You only have one face, so you should always do the best you can to take care of it. I have tried just about every kind of product type on the market when it comes to cleansers. Most of the time I stay away from exfoliants because they tend to be much too harsh on my sensitive skin. When I was presented with the opportunity to try dermalogica’s Daily Microfoliant, I was intrigued to say the least.
The Daily Microfoliant uses a unique system to achieve healthy, beautiful skin. Papain, Salicylic Acid & Rice Enzymes are released as soon as the rice-based powder formula is activated with water, gently removing dead skin cells. To help balance uneven pigmentation, there is also dermalogica’s Skin Brightening Complex. Lastly, Green Tea, Ginkgo & Colloidal Oatmeal are used to calm the skin.
To microfoliate your face, simply follow these steps:
1. Cleanse face with prescribed dermalogica cleanser. {I used my normal cleanser at first, found it was too drying so I simply used the Daily Microfoliant.}
2. Apply Daily Microfoliant to wet hands.
3. Mix into a creamy consistency.
4. Massage over skin {face, neck, & decollete} for one minute.
5. Rinse.
6. “Smile at how bright your skin looks.”
My thoughts:
Pros
- This was SO gentle on my skin
- Left my skin looking vibrant, polished & smooth after just one use
- Did not break out or irritate my sensitive skin
- No unpleasant smell
Cons
- Sometimes the powder comes out of the shaker very quickly & if you are using in the shower, it can make quite the mess/waste product
- $52 price tag…definitely a splurge item!
Verdict
I am obsessed with how my skin looks & feels after using this! I definitely opt to use at night to make sure I get all of the makeup off my face. I haven’t noticed any decrease in pigmentation yet, but hopefully as I am further into usage I will notice a difference.
Have you tried dermalogica’s Daily Microfoliant?
