Veteran Bollywood actress Jaya Bachchan, who turns 65 today, will be honoured with the Master Deenanath Mangeshkar Award for her dedicated service to Indian theater and cinema.
The award will be given to her on the death anniversary of Pandit Deenanath Mangeshkar.
Legendary playback singer Lata Mangeshkar will confer the award to Jaya Bachchan on 24th of April.
The melody queen said: “I like all her films. I am fond of Bachchans and so are they.”
Master Deenanath Award is instituted in the name of Lata Mangeshkar’s father, which recognises services in the field of music and films. The award consists of memento and cash prize of 1,01,001.
