2017 and saw the 4th version of this wedding fair. Ridiculously popular with suppliers for it’s fair pricing and high values. Being there is a bit of a badge of honour as the organisors Blue Fizz Events want the best suppliers not those with the most money so quality and talent is the order of the day. And it’s as popular with Brides and Grooms. The first fair when it was Saturday only on abysmal winter day saw over 500 people attend. Since then it’s been a two day event regularly drawing over 500 people on each day. So of course I was there with Artemis Stationery.

Exeter Castle is in an event space just minutes’ walk from the city centre. As such perfect to hit the shops, cafes, bars and restaurants and take in a wedding fair all in one easy trip.
The court-yard of the castle hosts the vehicles which this year included a rather cool gin bar and prosecco wagon. I think I partook in the prosecco but the gin which I’d saved for day 2 didn’t seem such a great idea after the suppliers gathering which turned into quite a late night with one or two nights on quay side. These were Bubbles and Bakes and Culinary Creative. There was also a really great caterer Gourmet Street Kitchen selling gourmet mac and cheese which was as excellent as it looked. The Prop Factory rounded off the outside with tonnes of decoration.

Pride of place and getting quite chilly in the lobby of the castle was the Remarkable Photobooth Co. Matt and Tania are two of my favourite people. They genuinely care about their clients and their business and always push themselves to excel with new and creative innovations and the best props. They shared the space with Franki Capri.

Brilliant high ceiling rooms with great light. I was in the corner of one of these rooms. I shared mine with such awesome people as Lucy Wallace Photography and Maxi Photography. Two awesome south Devon wedding photographers I always love catching up with. Days of Grace and Rockbeare Manor were amongst the highlights and I was neighbours with Catkin blooms and Polka Jewellery. I was also opposite Elizabeth Armitage Photography, I’ve not seen her since the first wedding fair at Exeter Castle and it was great to be reacquainted.

" />Deer Park near HonitonIn the ballroom went I checked in I made a beeline for Kate and Posh Nosh. Love their food so much and was gutted to learn that this year they were only displaying and not running a pop up café. I did run away with lots of brownie samples though. Posh Nosh were situated by the very talented Frances Carlisle Photography, I’ve only come across her a few times but the photos she took at Hillersdon House on a styled shoot I collaborated on were amazing. The Event Studio did the makeup at that shoot and were styling brides and models in one of the corners. The ever popular Swing Kings provided the entertainment.
