#DEARSINGLELADY (RELATIONSHIP AND BUSINESS ADVICE)
Hello amazing people. How are we doing this weekend? See those killer smiles, from us to you. You know this bible saying, He who walks with wise men will be wise, But the companion of fools will suffer harm. Indeed this scripture is a blessing.
I was privileged to be in the gathering of wise ladies, Tope the architect, Lynda Iheanachor the Real Estate Lady, Esohe the Brand Analyst, Sharon the Academy Dean of The Elocution, Etiquette and Ethics Academy,May Henshaw, Asam the customer service coach and the Empress Steph Obi the Marketing and Business Coach.
Steph Obi(get used to this name, you might just be hearing it often) a great woman, a world changer, got a few ladies invited to her house and I was privileged to be one of them for a round table discussion on business and marriage as taught by Mrs. Ibukun Awosika. It was a very impactful segment and I decided to share a few points I learnt. I will be sharing this for my single sisters but there is also the discussion of Newlyweds and Married people.
For the single sisters they are:
- Before getting married, you have to find yourself(know who you are, what exactly you are called to do on earth) - This is very important because if you have not found yourself, you may not know how to find a partner, it lays a foundation for the type of partner you would want to get married to, you search will be defined. You will definitely be in a position of finding the one who will be your support and vice-versa, who will encourage you to be the best of yourself and who will be your backbone.
- The single period of your life is not for you to regret your past but to reflect on what the future should be like: Invest your time in defining what choices you have to make, it is a period of finding out who you are, making decisions especially in business and knowing your stand and taking decisions for the future.
- Money is nothing: Money should not be your criteria for choosing your spouse, money will definitely come, if you know where you are going and your spouse does too, remember not every guy who drives a range rover owns a range rover, some of them are daddy's properties and daddy's property is not son's property, so please do not be deceived but all the flashes, a hardworking man with a vision has never been the wrong choice and if you are wondering how, a conversation does the magic.
- You owe it to yourself to choose a man who has got your back: Never live with the fear of if he goes will someone better come, as long as you know your values and your rules then do not be afraid because a thousand cattle on the hills are owned by God so if one cattle goes, God still has another for you.
- Set your priorities right: Do not choose a partner because you are believing you will change his bad habits to soothe the habits you have in your head. Lai Lai, be patient the right one will come. If you have set your priorities to be marry a God fearing husband, one who would make you grow in faith, stay on that, you will find him.
Do not start what you cannot finish- When you finally start courting or in your early stages of marriage do not live a lifestyle you cannot pursue to the end. You know you are a career woman, do not start giving him breakfast in bed, fresh food and the likes when you are dating or newly married, be yourself, because the day you stop, he will say you have changed.
Your responsibilities in life are  YOUR LIFE<->WIFE<->MOTHER

Try to play each role well.

These are the few I can give here, there is also the segment for the Married women in business, how to run a successful home as a business woman, especially an established one and if you feel you married the wrong man she teaches on ways to make amends.
It was hours of wisdom. It simply tells you that life is intertwined, you need a successful home to run a successful business and climb the ladder of success.
There is a whole lot that was taught but I will be sharing them as often as I can.
Have an amazing weekend.
I will definitely love to hear your thoughts, please drop a message in the comment box. Thank you.
