We learned a lot about Cora and Rumple on Once Upon a Time last night. Cora's dad was a lazy drunk, causing embarrassment and really pissing her off so much that she turned into the nasty be'atch we know today. Well we knew her yesterday.  Apparently Rumple was Cora's one true love. He saved her life long ago by teaching her the old turning straw into gold trick. She loved him so much that she kissed him even with all that nasty green glittery stuff on his face and then ripped her own heart out so she wouldn't be clouded by love and could plan her evil reign.  But Karma's a bitch and unfortunately it came back to bite her in the butt big time.  Snow and her eyebrows used the magic candle, that she wouldn't even use on her own Mom. Remember though if you use the magic candle, you trade one life for another.  So after Snow and her eyebrows spoke to the candle and found Cora's heart in the heart storage locker, she  tricked Regina into putting the heart back in her Mom. Regina wanted to know her Mommy loved her so much that of course even she fell for that story. Regina went and put Cora's heart back in her, got one of those "Mommy Loves You" looks out of Cora, and then done...dead. Pretty sure Regina will be meaner and nastier than ever knowing that again, Snow got over on her big time.  A few side notes from last night...cheesy special effects alert on the boat back to Storybrooke.  Kudos to Emma for learning magic in less than 60 seconds, and I need to get me some of that invisible chalk.  That came in pretty handy now didn't it?
After last night, I only have to watch one more episode of Girls, thank god.  I hated, hated, hated last nights episode. There wasn't one thing in the 22 minutes I forced myself to watch that I enjoyed. Not one.  Hannah's dress in the elevator, the counting, the scooting on the floor while wearing only a T-Shirt and underwear, the splinter, the cleaning of the splinter, the ear cleaning, the q tip getting stuck in her ear during the cleaning, the call to her parents, the hospital, the inexplicable reason why she went to the hospital not wearing any pants, the saving of the q tip, more counting, the awkward Adam run in, Marnie's horrible version of  "Stronger," Adam thinking he's Christian Grey, what we saw on Nat's chest,  Shosh and Ray, Shosh's off to the side hair bun and Charlie and Marnie...OMG I HATE THIS SHOW...only one more episode of this torture.  One more and I'm done.  I think.

On Revenge everyone was reeling over Amanda's death, especially Emily.  But I gotta say, that Jack handled the news relatively well. First he cried hysterically, but in less than 30 seconds he was able to meet with Mr. Grayson, rip out his tubes and sneak out of the hospital to go find the secret computer.  Isn't it amazing how on TV everyone who is hospitalized needs to rip out their tubes and leave the hospital immediately? It did catch up with him though.  He got so upset that he smashed the jar of beach glass and of course this lead to finding the key to the locker where the secret computer was and notes about Amanda and Emily's real meeting in Juvi. Jack's so distraught that he tells off Emily and leaves the secret computer out on his bed while he went to "bury his wife".  Of course that's just the perfect way for Emily to come back for it and after all that what did she do with it? She threw it in the ocean and uttered my new favorite slogan..."No More Distractions". Charlotte was obsessed with finding people to go to Amanda's funeral, so much so she used a search engine I'd never heard of called GoQuestGo??? What, no rights to Google, Bing or even Ask.com?  GoQuestGo???  Well it does work apparently, because Charlotte found Emily's foster brother who arrives in the Hamptons on next weeks episode.  The Initiative already sent in Diane Crawley's replacement.  The guys is known as Mr. Trask. Anyone remember where we've heard that name before?  Secret 5 point bonus trivia question if you email me that answer today. No More Distractions...I gotta get to work (see how fun it is to use?)

WWTM This Weekend

Dylan and I really love watching Joan and Melissa on Sunday mornings.  This weeks episode was really one of the best ones ever. Joan is just the best.  This week it was Grandma Week which is the one week every Summer that she and her grandson Cooper doing something fun together.  Last year it was Paris but this year since Cooper's studying the 13 colonies, Joan got a Rock Star bus, Cooper, his friend Julian, Melissa and their friend Martyn to tour them all themselves. As you would expect, a week on a bus together was filled with drama. The bus smelled of poo and rotten eggs, Julian puked, Cooper had a meltdown and wouldn't wear a costume and then had another meltdown when they went to visit University of Pennsylvania, Melissa's alma mater. Joan's couldn't take it and needed some wine so badly that she found some white trash strangers to drive her to the nearest liquor store. The best meltdown though was Joan's when she found out that Costco was banning her book because it had the word sh*t on the back cover.  When she got home to LA, she went to Costco with a few boxes of books and a megaphone and handcuffed herself to a ladies shopping cart.  The cops showed up just as Melissa and Cooper were finding out about this on the news...to be continued.  I love Joan.

Okay, so for me, Saturday Night Live has become Sunday Morning DVR, but it still rocked this weekend. Unless you live under a rock, you know that Justin Timberlake was host and musical guest.  It's been all over the news, the Internet etc.  He didn't disappoint.  This was Justin's 5th time hosting which meant he was officially in the 5 Timer's Club, this and my 2 favorite skits, "It's a Date," and "Veganville," were the highlights of the show. Even JT couldn't help the normal trajectory of the show in which it seems to go downhill after the 2nd musical performance,  and this week was no exception. Sober Caligula was bad but  Maine Justice made no sense at all. I don't  understand how Lorne approved that one to make it on air.  If you didn't see the show, and didn't see any of the clips, check them out below.  Next up for Justin...5 nights on my FBFF's show...can't wait!

News & Information

-BET's Real Husbands of Hollywood has been renewed for a second season.  I keep hearing about this one. I was discounting it until Brett Blattman recommended it to me on Thursday. If you all remember, Brett's the guy that begged me to watch Breaking Bad and you know what happened there.  I'll have to check this one out now and get caught up on Season 1 before the second season starts.  Who else watches this one?

-It's confirmed that Joy Behar is leaving The View, but there are unconfirmed reports that  now Elizabeth Hasselback is leaving too. If you believe US Magazine and the Drudge Report, then it's not only true, but then Brooke Shields is going to replace one of um at the table.  I usually prefer to report something when its confirmed but I like the fact that Elizabeth could be leaving and I like the fact that Brooke Shields could possibly take the chair from her...so for now...I'm going with it.  Happy to retract it if I'm wrong.

On Friday night when I was reading Entertainment Weekly (old school paper Magazine...gasp!) I just loved Mark Harris's story about Pilot Season.  Thought you guys would too.  I hope the network programming peeps read it, the guy is right on the money! Here's the link:  http://popwatch.ew.com/tag/mark-harris/

Monday's Trivia Question: I'm still going with the couples quiz since I didn't use them all up yet...Clair & Cliff, Juliet & Sawyer and Casey & Dana (that's a hard one).  Name the shows. WWTM-Kristy http://watchingwaytoomuch.com [email protected] [email protected]
