This post marks the 31st consecutive day I have posted on this blog. I wasn't even sure I could do it to begin with. Over the course of this month, I have learned so much - about myself, about others, about writing, about blogging, about lots of things - that I would not have learned had I not undertaken this challenge.
And my blog is better off for me having done it. Not just in stats and number of followers, though things of that nature have increased greatly. I've added, and am still adding, all kinds of features to it. I've got a better picture of where it's headed, and where I'm headed with writing in general, and a better idea of where my niche is. All of that information is not only valuable, but invaluable.
So for all of this, I just want to say a big "Thank You" to The Nester. I would also encourage all bloggers, whatever stage you are at, to participate in this challenge in the future, and in others like it.
I suspect that the rewards are as unique for each blogger as the bloggers themselves.
Words for Wednesday
Todays "Words for Wednesday" are focused on the topic of tomorrow's linkup - human care.
"Love begins by taking care of the closest ones - the ones at home." Mother Teresa
"Beginning today, treat everyone you meet as if they were going to be dead by midnight. Extend to them all the care, kindness, and understanding you can muster, and do it with no thought of any reward. Your life will never be the same again." Og Mandino
“A mother is a person who seeing there are only four pieces of pie for five people, promptly announces she never did care for pie.” Tenneva Jordan
"Want of care does us more damage than want of knowledge.” Benjamin Franklin
I know you people have something to add to this topic. In fact, it's probably a post (or two or five) that you've already written. Did you write about a mission trip, an adoption, a service project, or even ways you care for your friends and family? Just link it up!
