I wanted to have a dark ash blonde but not a flat shade, however due to the copper color Vikky showed me on the Davines color swatch chart, the color I wanted would not be possible on the first color change. I would have to go with a natural warm shade based 8.0 mixed a little ash 8.1 to tone down. The color brand used at Glow is an ammonia-free color line from Davines with these natural active ingredients: Monoethanolamine – natural biodegradable alkalizing agent, Natural carotenoids – vegetable pigments with an antioxidant action, Vegetable melanin – an antioxidant and anti-free radical.

Davines laboratories have replaced ammonia by monoethanolamine (MEA), a hydro-soluble, biodegradable biological substance, completely odorless, boosted by a synergy with met silicate, a mineral quartz agent with remarkable light refraction capacity.
