David Beckham to Cover ELLE UK

No, this is not just an excuse to brighten up your Friday 13th with a pic of Mr Beckham - although I don't see a problem with that. There is a fashion-related story behind it too!
It seems that the publishing world has opened its doors to us in recent months and shed some light on upcoming cover stars. Only last month ELLE revealed their June cover girl would be Kristen Stewart and now we have the news of their July star! 
Yes, the rumours are true, David Beckham is confirmed as ELLE UK's July cover star. Mr Victoria Beckham will be the first solo male to cover the mag in celebration of the 2012 Olympics. Lorraine Candy, ELLE's Editor-in-Chief said "David Beckham is a national hero so we saw an opportunity to shoot a celebratory cover to support a historical and patriotic year. He is an icon & ELLE is known for featuring icons on its cover. Anyway, who doesn't want to see a picture of one of the world's most handsome men on the front cover of a magazine? It will be a collectors issue." - She does have a point!
