Oh, its good to be a blogger for Marthafied this week.You get to sit in front of a computer with a glass of wine and pretend to choose pics of gorgeous men for the blog. Truth is most of the time I just end up ogling and end up publishing most of the pics anyway. Are there any bad pics of David Beckham? I don’t think so. It’s Superbowl week (Go Broncos!! I went to college in Denver, Colorado and that’ll always be my spiritual American home so get used to a lot of that this week) and H&M have released these preview shots of David Beckham’s campaign for his underwear collection for H&M.
The TV commercial will air during Superbowl but H&M are teasing us with these shots of David posing in front of some sort of piping. I am guessing this is the sort of piping we can find on rooftops for air-conditioning etc. What exactly do rooftops, some quite snazzy undies and David Beckham have in common will be revealed on Sunday but it all looks great to me!
The commercial is directed by Danish director Nicolas Winding Refn, who most recently has directed Ryan Gosling in “Only God Forgives”. Winding Refn says about working with Beckham: “He is a natural in front of the camera, and was fearless when performing his own stunts. The campaign is funny, smart and spectacular, and shows the many different sides of David’s personality.” Can’t wait!
The Superbowl (Go Broncos!!) is on this Sunday. Even if you don’t have access to a sports network, or indeed, don’t feel like staying up all night to catch the football action, fear not, usually most commercials end up on Youtube soon after. Enjoy!
