Date Night: Outfit & Makeup

By Bambileigh

Hi chummiest chums. I thought I’d try something a bit different today and share my date night outfit with you! Unfortunately I couldn’t get any shots of my outfit on the night and there’s no where in my flat where I could take a decent picture so I’ve just had to lay the clothes out on the floor… such an amateur! ;) I’d of liked to have gotten a few pictures of the food we had too but it disappeared way too quickly.

What I’m about to say might shock you – we went to the cinema. I know, I’m just as flabbergasted/horrified as you are. If you have no clue why this is a big deal read my post on why I hate the cinema; and I can confirm that all of those reasons are still very applicable and it was an uncomfortable experience. But don’t worry, I comforted myself with Frankie & Bennies BBQ chicken pizza and some salted caramel cheesecake afterwards… oops.

Even though it was quite warm/humid on Friday I opted for my blue Asos Ridley Jeans as it’s always cold in both the cinema and Frankie & Bennies, but I rolled the bottoms up a little so you could see my anklets. I also wore a ‘Long Line’ Black Vest from Matalan to tie in with my Crochet Dolly Shoes from New Look and Black Sheepskin Bag from Next and then I threw my Matalan Floral Kimono over the top to hide the Frankie & Bennies food baby that would inevitably be making an appearance.

I really didn’t want to spend long on my makeup as I’d be sitting in a dark room, so I used simple base products, Maybelline’s Colour Tattoo in my brows (love this for brows at the moment!), Free Spirit, Natural Beauty and Dreamer from the Tartelette palette, a touch of Rimmel’s Scandaleyes Eyeliner and my current favorite mascara.

I’m still drooling over the thought of the gorgeous pizza and cheese and bacon fries from F&B’s… completely off the Slimming World plan but I thought I could make an exception for the day seeing as how I’ve got 5lb more to lose and I’ve lost my first stone!

I really would have liked to get some shots of my makeup as well as my outfit but my camera doesn’t take makeup shots very well – it’s almost as if it can’t detect eyeshadow! I hope you enjoyed this post anyway, I’ve never done an OOTD before so I wasn’t really sure where to start or how to photograph the clothes, but I had fun doing it and I guess that’s all that matters!
