Time to soak up these last few Summer Nights! It’s Friday, it’s date night, and you’re headed out for a casual fun date night. If you’re anything like me, you’ll figure out a way to incorporate the best color ever (coral) into your wardrobe year round, snowpocalypse and Polar Vortices be damned. However, there’s no time like summer time for rocking the color of Florida sunsets, of the best Essie shade to fake a tan, of the greatest citrus of all time, and of my favorite vintage cameos. So tonight, we combine summer’s best color with one of summer’s biggest fashion trends: le kimono. The kimono is perfect for adding a layer to balmy summer evenings (Floridian friends, there are places where you have to wear a light jacket in August at night. I won’t tell you where though, so i don’t discourage you from visiting.) headed to a movie in the park? Pack your kimono girl. Want to add a little dash of modesty to that crop top? Kimono! Although the closest I venture to crop-top-dom is the Coral Floral swing top length featured below, but I digress. And nothing pairs better with a sweet, delicate floral tank than some artfully destroyed skinny jeans. Pop on a pair of mules and you’re almost ready. A fabulous soft smoky eye using Urban Decay’s Naked 3 palette is the perfect complement to a drawn on cat eye and glossy peach lips. A sparkly gold manicure requires minimal accessorizing, so colorful Bvlgari earrings and a simple Cartier Love bangle are truly all you need. Now load up that Damier Azur Speedy 30 with as much candy contraband as you need to sneak into the movie. Oh wait, it’s at the park. Make that wine and a picnic blanket. Have your hot date pick up your brie, grapes and a crusty baguette and you and that kimono are ready for a Grease-worthy Summer Night.
