We've hit Peak Jacaranda in my neck of the woods. They're really stunning this year. (I'm cheating here a bit, as these trees aren't in my yard, but rather in the park down the street.)
Didn't realize I'd caught Ms. Wasp on final approach until I was editing the photo.
I adore jacaranda trees, both for the lacy foliage and brilliant blossoms, but won't have them in my yard as they're quite messy. The flowers are sticky, and I learned the hard way my first year in LA not to park my car underneath the trees as the resin in that litter will pit the paint.
The only real development of interest in my own garden at this point is...
Figs!!
my potted fig, planted last year from a rooted cutting is earning its keep already.Do you grow fruit or other edibles in containers?
