When it comes to music in the Ottawa area the name Danielle Allard is one that you hear quite often. Whether it’s from her days as a member of the trio Go Long (!), her regular appearances at the Lowertown Brewery or the work she does to support other artists one thing is certain, if you aren’t familiar with Danielle Allard and her music that’s about to change.

A graduate of the Canterbury Music Program, Danielle has been singing and performing publicly since the age of 9. By the age of 14 she had started playing piano and guitar as well as writing her own music. Not one to keep her music to herself Danielle became a mentor and teacher at a young age, teaching vocal techniques and rhythm guitar to friends and family members. Today Danielle is a musical superhero of sorts, a mild mannered college instructor during the day and a passionate musician and performer by night (you’d have to go to one of her shows to see if she has a cape and a mask or not). Plans are in the works for Danielle’s debut solo EP which is expected by the end of the year.
And to think as a child she wanted to be a brontosaurus…we think she made the right choice.
