This year Italy
celebrates some very important anniversaries.
One
among these is the born of Gabriele D'Annunzio, March 12, 1863.
It's been
150 years and Italy
still remembers him as one of the great celeb of the intellectual Italian
world. He was a versatile character , we have to recognize this. He was a
writer, a poet, a playwright, a politician, an aviator and a journalist. He rode
out some important military actions.
D'Annunzio liked because he was not a perfect man, his character was
controversial, impulsive, full-blooded. What the public opinion thought about
him?
He was an rascal libertine. Are not usually these celebs more
loved by the audience? His intellectual image
was as some artist in those years . He was not far from the political
and social situation where he lived. We
usually think that the celebs of the past are always full of the integrity: D'Annunzio not.
Let's tell the true: he like so much the women that the faithfulness was not its main quality. His
wife obtained a sentenced for him to 5
years in prison for adultery. From the economic point of view he was filled with debts up to bring his family near to the collapse.

he was a person without too many
inhibitions, what we might call a “shark” today. An example? He announce his death
just to advertise his new writing work .
Despite his
mottos was taken the symbols of the Fascism, D'Annuzio never took the badge of this party because
his desire of the independence was superior to each classification.
So what? He
was not a saint of course, but it was an emblem of his time. The Belle Epoque
was full of cafe-chantant, here you can have some frivolous rendezvous and then D'Annunzio was a
snake charmer, capable with the word both on the paper and in the flattery . So
after 150 we remember this great writer. Try to read one of his novels: this is
the only way you will understand its true and controversial nature joined with
his genius.

arti alla letteratura passando per altri mille campi di cui alcuni meno noti ma
non meno importanti, sono le colonne portanti della storia dell’umanità. Ebbene
sì ci sono persone che sono da ricordare. Quest’anno l’Italia festeggia degli
anniversari decisamente importanti uno fra questi è la nascita di Gabriele
D’Annunzio che nacque il 12 marzo del 1863. Sono passati 150 anni e l’Italia lo ricorda
ancora come uno dei grandi personaggi del mondo intellettuale Italiano. Quello
che gli si può riconoscere è di esser stato un personaggio poliedrico fu
scrittore, fui poeta, fu drammaturgo fu un politico, fu un aviatore e un giornalista. Fu capace di decantabili
azioni militari che ne elevarono il valore. D’Annunzio piace perché non era
perfetto, il suo carattere era controverso, impulsivo sanguigno. Come era
visto? Come un libertino impertinente. Di solito non sono questi personaggi fuori
dalle righe ad essere amati maggiormente dal pubblico? La sua immagine da
intellettuale non si allontanava come molti altri personaggi del tempo, dalla
realtà politica e sociale in cui era inserita. Di solito pensiamo che i grandi
personaggi siano sempre persone integerrime: D’Annunzio non fu così
dichiaratamente. Diciamolo chiaramente: amava le donne e la fedeltà non era
certo la sua qualità portante. LA moglie riuscì a farlo condannare a ben 5 anni
di reclusione per adulterio. Dal punto di vista economico si riempì di debiti
fino a portare la sua famigli al limite del collasso. In tutto questo fu una
persona senza troppe inibizioni, quello che potremmo chiamare uno squalo di
oggi. Un esempio? Per pubblicizzare un suo lavoro diffuse la notizie della sua
presunta morte. Nonostante i suoi motti furono presi come elementi
portanti del Fascismo D’Annuzio non prese mai la tessera del partito perchè il
suo desiderio di indipendenza era
superiore ad ogni classificazione. Quindi? Sicuramente non fu un santo, ma fu emblema
del suo periodo: la Belle
epoque fu piena di cafè-chantant, conoscenze frivole nei locali e poi
D’annunzio era un incantatore di serpenti, abile con la parola sia sulla carta
che nella fase di corteggiamento. Così dopo 150 ricordiamo questo grande
scrittore e se vi capita provate a leggere uno dei suoi romanzi: solo così riuscirete a capire la sua
vera natura controversa che ben si sposava con la sua genialità.
