Cypress Trees of San Quirico D’Orcia

By Edithlevy

The town of San Quirico D’Orcia lies halfway between Pienza and Montalcino right on a hilltop (don’t they all in Tuscany). Just before you arrive in San Quirico you’ll pass by a crop of Cypress trees which are probably the most photographed in all of Tuscany.

I was hoping for rolling green hills, which is what you’re supposed to get in the summer but that was not to be. Still I loved standing there and photographing these tree and the area. I will share more in future posts.
