The personality of a human beings can have a deep impact on their health.

What is Dementia?

The disease affects his daily activities and needs help with them. There is no diagnosis of the disease, but the disease is analyzed for the changes, the patient goes through. There are many types of Dementia but the common one is Alzheimer’s disease. Other forms may include vascular dementia, Lewy body dementia, and progressive supranuclear palsy, Corticobasal dementia and many others. There are a very few treatable case of the disease, but most of them are non curable. The disorder may become common with aged people.

Recently we have found that people suffering with high level Cynicism are exposed to the risk of dementia three times higher than the normal people. A study was done by the researchers where the scientists found that cynical people are more likely to develop dementia later in their life. This study was done by University of Eastern Finland and the conclusion shows us the darker part of the disorder which says that people with  Cynicism are at a higher risk.  The people who were between the ages of 65 to 79 were asked to fill a questionnaire and later they were again administered over 8 years for two tests of dementia. It was never ever thought that the negative thinking of a person actually can hurt one’s health.

The studies that were done by various Neurology Institutions and Universities that people who are cynical may die earlier and this is related to the negative thinking of every human being. This doubting on people and trust related issues are the key cause for the Cynicism. The higher level of distrust in these people has a 2.54 times higher chance of dementia than the lower level of Cynicism, so these higher levels of Cynicism in people made their life shorter.  There are other factors that are closely related to this disorder and may add up to the cause of dementia. Higher stress levels, smoking, raised blood pressure and cholesterol and alcohol consumption can lead to high Cynicism scores.  The people’s thoughts and their view towards life will have a serious impact on their life. Already we know that 3 out of 65 people develop dementia in U.K and it is estimated that this number will grow by 2051.
