1- Home Minister Amit Shah met his Singaporean counterpart K Shanmugam in New Delhi and discussed several issues of mutual interest. The two leaders also exchanged views and concerns on the challenges posed by terrorism and extremism.

2- Union Minister for Culture and Tourism Prahlad Singh Patel has inaugurated gallery of confiscated and retrieved antiquities at Purana Quila in New Delhi. The gallery was established by the Archaeological Survey of India (ASI). The displayed antiquities will sensitize the public towards the illegal trade of nation’s heritage.

3- Young shooter Yashaswini Singh Deswal won gold in the women’s 10meter Air Pistol event at the ISSF World Cup at in Rio de Janeiro in Brazil. With the win, she has also secured an Olympic quota for India.

4- Shot putter Tejinderpal Singh Toor clinched a silver medal during an athletic meet at Decin in the Czech Republic. The Asian Games gold medallist came up with the best throw of 20.09m in his last attempt at the event. Tajinder has been awarded the Arjuna Award this year.

5-The Ministry of Electronics & Information Technology (MeitY) has partnered with Google to roll out ‘Build for Digital India’. The program aims to give engineering students a platform to develop market-ready technology-based solutions to address key social issues in areas like healthcare and women safety. Google will give mentorship sessions in design and technology to the most promising products.

6-Assam’s Tinsukia Junction has become the 4000th railway station in India to have free public WiFi facility. Free railway Wi-Fi was a key initiative under the government’s ‘Digital India’ campaign.
असम का तिनसुकिया जंक्शन सार्वजनिक वाईफाई सुविधा मुक्त करने वाला भारत का 4000 वां रेलवे स्टेशन बन गया। सरकार के ‘डिजिटल इंडिया’ अभियान के तहत फ्री रेलवे वाई-फाई एक महत्वपूर्ण पहल थी।

7- The Securities and Exchange Board of India (SEBI) has announced a reward of upto one crore rupees for informants willing to provide credible information regarding insider trading cases. SEBI will establish an Office of Informant Protection, which will be responsible for the receipt, registration and processing of the disclosure form and also for ascertaining its authenticity.
