And here you have images from one of my most recent (and favorite!) shoots. Whenever I shoot photos with photographer Mark Morgan I know I'm going to get some killer images. Allison Holt is a model with Jani Models here in AZ and I had such an amazing time creating makeup and hair looks on her. Turns out, she looks really good in my clothes too! (images above). When I work on shoots I not only execute the makeup but often times the hair and styling as well. Its so cool to see your vision come to life.
Allison has long gorgeous hair and I had every intention of replicating that "one girl" we all know who has the perfect mixture of masculine and feminine who can also just roll out of bed looking fabulous. The makeup is subtle although if you look closely, there are a lot of cool features to drool over. Is that white eye shadow?? yes. Is that a strategically contoured inner crease? yes. Overall, it accentuates her unique eye color and shape. I couldn't be happier with how the hair and makeup turned out. I've recently been a huge fan of using big scarfs as head wraps. And voila! You have yourself a chunky and fun hair piece.
For this look, I knew the photos were going to be in black and white. I decided to keep the hair soft and sleek with smooth kinky curls. A little 70's if you will. I also accentuated under her eyes for a more smoky and sultry vibe and paired it with a nude lip. Bridget Bardot no? I hope to work with Allison again soon. These images rock my world.
