Cupcake Painting

By Kathybarbro @KathyBarbro
Cupcake Painting This subject matter is pretty simple, but a few extra touches can make it look rather sophisticated.
1. Draw the cupcake bottom that fills the bottom half of a sheet of watercolor paper. Draw the cherry where you would like it to sit, and add the frosting lines on either side.
2. Trace all the lines with a black Sharpie marker.
3. Draw sprinkles with different colored crayons. Add the cupcake wrapper lines with a crayon. Colors that will contrast with your planned paint color work best. (Note: I wish I made mine white or yellow.)
4. Paint all with watercolors. I used Dick Blick Liquid Watercolor Paints. For the cherry, leave a little white spot for a reflection.
