Croatia - you can fall in love with this country!

Croatia Fall Love with This Country! We usually wonder whether to go to the mountains, to the city or to the sea? How to combine the tastes of all traveling companions? The good news is that there is a place where you don't have to give up anything! Welcome to Croatia. Here are seven reasons why you will probably fall in love with this land.

Located on the Adriatic, Croatia has for centuries already attracted many nations that have left their mark - from the Romans and Celts, through the Italians and the French, to the Austrians and Hungarians. And Poles, of course. And no wonder, this land combines everything you would expect from a place chosen for a long-awaited vacation. Locals are hospitable, and sometimes they can even surprise with a few Polish words. Not only that, the expedition does not require great financial outlays, and access is easy. Many of us do not need to be introduced to Croatia anymore.

Slow life

Torn out of the everyday bustle, we'll find relief that we've come to a place where time passes more slowly. The clock on one of the Croatian towers has only one hand - just as if the time was not counted in minutes, but in hours. You live slowly. We don't get take-out coffee here. We sit in one of the cafes and celebrate the moment, talk to friends or just enjoy the eye with the views. The idea of "slow life" is achievable here - you can easily stop.

Nature

Croatia is mountains and the sea. The highest peak is Sveti Jure (1762m above sea level), which can be reached by trail or boldly climbing the asphalt road up. 1185 islands are a great variation, among which one - Brac - is a place where marble is valued all over the world. An interesting fact is the Zlatni Rat beach, whose promontory changes shape due to the sea and wind. In the country we will also find wildlife reserves inhabited by bears, lynxes, wolves and chamois and a national park with lakes and waterfalls. The routes are friendly for both individual tourists and entire families.

Sun

You can't complain about the weather here. Even winter is gracious and snowless, offering 15 degrees of warmth, and summer can even be considered hot, because the temperature reaches 40 degrees, and 30 is the norm. It is obviously the hottest in July and August, but the most pleasant - from the Poles' point of view - is September.

Active recreation

The heat does not mean that it is necessary to mature. Croatia offers lots of interesting attractions for active people. One of them is yacht sailing, which can be rented for a few days and travel freely, stopping at nights in sailing marinas and city ports. Another exciting adventure is rafting in the Dinaric Mountains, Mosor and Biokovo. The rapid, winding Cetina River is also the destination of lovers of canoeing and rafting. Those who are less thirsty for adrenaline can take a cable car ride to Srđ during the trip to Croatia - a peak towering 400 meters above Dubrovnik. This is an excellent vantage point. From it you can see not only the Adriatic Sea and several islands, but also neighboring countries: Bosnia, Herzegovina and even Montenegro.

Sightseeing

Croatia fully deserves intensive sightseeing. There are many monuments inscribed on the UNESCO World Heritage List: Cathedral of St. James in Šibenik , Plitvice Lakes National Park, Old Town of Dubrovnik, the historic center of Split with the Diocletian's Palace, the historic city of Trogir and the Euphrasian Basilica Complex in the Old Town of Poreč. It is impossible not to see at least the main cities of this region: Dubrovnik and Split. Stradun - the marble promenade of Dubrovnik - is an elegant pedestrian street surrounded by countless cafes and small shops. Split, on the other hand, combines antiquity and modernity, surprising the enormous ancient summer residence of the emperor, which currently houses as many as three thousand people. The mysterious island of Lokrum is also worth visiting, with the monastery ruins, a botanical garden and a highly saline lake where you can float on the water without the slightest effort.

Tastes

It is also a pleasure to try local delicacies during a trip to Croatia . You can taste excellent quality seafood in the Dubrovnik Lokanda Peskarija restaurant in the old port. Gemiszt, or white wine mixed with sparkling water, will match this dinner. In contrast, in the new port in Gruz there is a market every day with fresh products and flowers. Stalls are full of, among others fruit, vegetables and, of course, fish just caught in the Adriatic. The region's flavors also include excellent wines and oils.

Relaxation

Croatia has a wonderful coast and numerous islands. There is no lack of space to rest in the sunshine. The magnificent landscape and soothing turquoise waters are real views from postcard photos at your fingertips. The beaches stretch for kilometers. One of them is Copacabana - referring to the name Rio de Janeiro. This is the place of an endless summer party. For those thirsty for peace, however, you should know that Croatia is also known for growing lavender, which smell soothes the senses.
