Create a Winning Product Or Program with These 8 Simple Steps

  1. List your skills, gifts, and knowledge – We should all have one of these lists as a living document that is added to regularly.  It is a wonderful business resource and can be used to lift your energy when you feel challenged.
  2. Visualize your ideal client.  The one you really can get excited about working with.  Describe them in detail.
  3. What are your ideal client’s biggest challenges?  What keeps them up at night or makes them cry?  What will they be really motivated to receive help with?
  4.  What solutions do you have to offer?  List them and choose one.
  5. Test the viability of your idea:
    1. Google Keyword Tools provides search statistics.
    2. Search your subject online – if there are a lot of ads, people are probably buying.
    3. Ask yourself if your ideal clients are actively looking for a solution to this problem.
    4. Can your ideal client group afford what you want to offer?
  6. If your idea tests well, list 5 -10 steps that would lead clients from the uncomfortable position they are in to your solution.
  7. Create a name that is catchy and speaks to the benefits your clients will receive.
  8. Complete your product by adding detail to your outline of steps and formatting it to look nice.  Programs and coaching packages do not need to be finished before enrolling clients, because you will have time along the way to work on them.  It is easy to get bogged down in creation and not move forward.  Start talking about your product right away.  You may be inspired with ideas after hearing what people have to say.  And, when you enroll people before the product is complete you will be very committed to its completion.
