I did not sleep well last night. I tossed and turned and laid there wide awake... I had night sweats(I even went and opened the bathroom window at 4a.m.) it helped a bit. I had nightmares so bad that I woke up with my heart racing... ICK! I woke up having cravings for carbs and coffee - they weren't HORRIBLE, but they were present. I drank my 32 oz. of water. Then I made my green drink, which I admittedly put more fruit in due to my cravings. In the mix:-2 cups of spinach tightly packed-banana-handful of strawberries-scoop of chocolate flavored greens-scoop of chia seeds-1 cup waterSounds tasty doesn't it?! It wasn't. It was a horrible color(see below) and it was surprisingly bitter. I think the strawberries were a little on the tart side. I really wanted to add almond milk but told myself that would make it a smoothie instead of a green drink... This is a perfect example of me not doing what gut/body is telling me to do; mistake. I didn't listen to the coffee and carbs craving but for god's sake add some almond milk if you want! Lesson learned.
I realized that the reason my pictures started to look so crappy is that I shouldn't use a flash!(Thanks for the reminder Kristina!) Her pictures are amaze-balls - my new favorite word. I am just snapping photos with my iPhone, and one of my To Do's is to get myself an actual camera. Until then, I won't use anymore flash, and hopefully my pictures will be better than the ones I took yesterday... the flash actually made them look so much darker. A photographer I am not... yet.
One of my rituals is to light this candle while I blog. It is a Root Candle and the scent is one of my absolute favorites!(Sampaquita) mmmmmmm I have had a hard time finding them locally - they are everywhere in MN. I bought this one when I was home at Christmas. What is your favorite candle? Do you have rituals?
