Attention Beauty Lovers! I am back with another Crap Products Review. I love tons of makeup and beauty related products. I test tons of products and fall in love with many of them. However, occasionally there are those product that just plain suck. I do not want to bash these brands because there are products in their lines that are awesome. I am simply warning about the products that are terrible and you should stay away from. These are my honest opinions and I understand a product I hate, you may love. CRAP PRODUCT:
It has been so long since I had to do a crap product post...I take that as a good thing because that means all the products I have been testing are AMAZING. However exciting that may be, I came across this next crap product (and it is a doozy). I know a lot of you love these posts, so I was happy (if that makes any sense with a crap product) to find another crap product for y'all.
I knew from the look of this mascara that I was going to be let down (however, I had no idea just how let down I was going to be). It is priced high and for a $16, I expect it to outperform all my drugstore mascaras. Spoiler Alert...not only did this product fail against drugstore mascara, it is the worst mascara I have ever used.
Okay, let's get to why it is so awful. First, it is expensive! I have established that, but I totally needed to reiterate the fact it is a $16 mascara. Second, it has the most basic lash wand ever. Where is the creativity people (for $16 you could have added a cool wand or something)?! Third, it is said to be "double black!" What in the world does "double black" mean? I get extra black or extreme black, but "double black"...UM NO!
Now for the formula...Just WOW (not a good WOW)! It is the messiest mascara I have ever used and I totally don't understand why. I have mascaras that have huge wands and they not even close to being as messy as this mascara. I was being extra careful and I still got it all over my eyes. The mascara is also very runny (I am talking a liquid goopy mess). As you can see in the picture above, so much product comes out on the wand (this probably attests to the messiness). I felt like I was pulling strings of mascara out every time I took the wand out (and that is not good).
And for my lashes...TERRIBLE! It added the smallest big of length I have ever seen. Also, you could add 548 million (yes...totally just put a very precise number for emphasis) layers and it still won't build much length. What about volume, you ask? Girls, do I even need to go there? What volume?...there is absolutely NONE!
When it came time to taking this mascara off...it won't come off for nothing. So not only are you left with awful looking lashes...you can't get the stuff off. I mean, that fact would be amazing if it was a good mascara. However, it isn't and you are left with awful lashes, red eyes from all the scrubbing, or no lashes at all. I guess on a positive note...It doesn't flake off.
Y'all want to know the best part though...Get ready for this...It is SOLD OUT online! What?!! Why? I am thinking there are two reasons why this could have happened. One...many people thought that because it was $16, it should be amazing (totally what I thought too). Or two...the website took it down because they realized how bad it was (maybe they actually tried it for themselves). But whatever the reason is, it is still a terrible mascara.
So there you have it...another crap product! I would definitely stay away from this and do not waste your money. Just because it has an expensive price tag does not mean it is an expensive product. The lies people...the lies. I have learned my lesson and will never repurchase this product. To the dumpster, it goes!
