C.O.W.L. #2 Review

Posted on the 24 June 2014 by Geekasms @geekasms

With the last of the Chicago Six dead, the C.O.W.L. organization’s fate is undetermined. Is C.O.W.L. needed anymore in a city where the major villains are dead and gone? My answer, why not?

Someone found some C.O.W.L. documents in one of the Chicago Six’s safe house. This raises some questions and it is not the time for this to happen with contract negotiations happening. As these concerns are brought up to another member of C.O.W.L., it seems to be pushed aside. The members of C.O.W.L. are still staying active and answering a call has some unforeseen circumstances.

This book is starting to seem very real to me. The feel of the action and situations that are occurring can and probably are happening right now. The art in the book is growing on me. At first I wasn’t a huge fan of it but I feel that it fits the style of writing and the time era as well. Just as it happens Chicago, is seems that there may be some corruption happening within C.O.W.L. itself. This seems to be playing out like a cop drama with some superpowers. I am enjoying this series more and I am looking forward to the next chapter of the Chicago Organized Workers League.
