Cote Brasserie – Firm Favourite for Early Dinner

By Fashion Addicted Foodies @fashionfoodi

Cote Brasserie FAF

One of my favorite French bistros in London for an early evening dinner is Cote Brasserie. Or for lunch. Or for dinner. So basically any time is a good time to have food (and wine) at your local Cote Brasserie.

Menu FAF

Cote Brasserie has a fab lunch & early evening menu with a price that does not make your credit card shrink. Even though Cote Brasserie is a chain restaurant (shock! horror! and a complete no-no for some people) I have always had fresh and delicious food there. And it truly is one of my favorite restaurants! Plus with locations all around London there’s always one around the corner.

Rose Wine bottle FAF

So on a Thursday evening couple of weeks ago I invited Kris to go with me to have an early dinner at Cote as they had mussels on the list and I had a craving for them! I should add that I was way too lazy to start cooking mussels myself… Did I happen to mention that Cote also has very delicious rosé wine while my wine rack seems to be sadly almost empty.

Golden Beetroot Carpaccio FAF2

This time for an appetizer I went for Carpaccio of Seasonal Golden Beetroots. So simple, yet so fresh and light! Perfect to start your dinner with.

Caramelised Onion Flatbread FAF

Yeah, so I could not help myself and just had to have a taster of Kris’ Warm Flatbread with Caramelised Onions, Thyme and Camembert cheese. Talk about melt in your mouth! But then again what else to expect with those ingredients.

Les Mules FAF

For the main we both opted for mussels. No doubt, no hesitation there! The mussels were creamy and aromatic as expected. And always surprisingly filling!

Frites FAF

Of course a side of frites is a must.

Iced Berries FAF

Best part of any dinner for me is the dessert. I can give up the appetizer, but never the dessert. I have had Iced Berries with Hot White Chocolate Sauce several times at Cote and each time it’s as good as I remembered. Super delish! I find that berries or fruit is such a light way to end a dinner that I usually choose them instead of a cake or a tart.

Espresso Macchiato FAF

What a better way to finish the dinner than with an Espresso Macchiato. Yum! Now who shall carry me home? Literally!
