Cory Monteith who is best known on the hit FOX musical show ‘Glee’ was found dead at the young age of 31. He was found on Saturday in his hotel room at Vancouver’s Fairmont Pacific Rim Hotel.
The cause of the death is still not known and the autopsy is being set for Monday. The Police was able to say it didn’t look like any foul play was involved but did not talk about what was in the room.
The police said that the actor was out Friday night with friends and returned to this 21st floor room in the early morning hours. Doug LePard who is the acting Police Chief has said this:
“There were others with Mr. Monteith in his room earlier [Friday] night, but video and fob key entries who him returning to his room by himself in the early morning hours and we believe he was alone when he died. When he missed his check-out time, staff went to the room at noon and found his body.”
Cory was scheduled to check out on Saturday. It has also been said that he was dead for several hours before the body was discovered.
A rep for Cory has released this statement about the actor:
“We are so saddened to confirm that the reports on the death of Cory Monteith are accurate. We are in shock and mourning this tragic loss.”
We wish his family the best while going through this. It’s sad to see someone die at such a young age.
