Well we lost last night! It was another nail biter and boy was it rough. Max and I hit up Elli’s, a local “American Food” restaurant, whatever that means, for a few drinks and some food.

2 losses in 1 week means 2 beer night.

I also had a BLAST sandwich, because clearly I couldn’t refrain from some broken heart curing gluten.

The BLAST is bacon, lettuce, tomato, sprouts and avocado on toasted sourdough bread. I asked for my bread free of any mayonnaise or butter and I  had the chicken vegetable soup as my side.

The soup was pretty good. I loved the veggie variety and how chunky they were but I think the broth needed some more seasoning. It was pretty bland. But the sandwich was delish!! I ate half at the restaurant and the other half at about 11pm.

This post isn’t very funny… I think my funny bone has taken a break this morning. This week’s basketball has me pretty down and frustrated.

Anyways I hung out all night, I don’t sleep too well after tough losses, with Ace. He was such a good 3rd beer drinking/cuddle buddy.

This morning I couldn’t even contemplate cooking before basketball practice at 10 so I flew through the drive through at the ‘bucks for some Perfect Oatmeal and Awake Tea.

Perfect oatmeal today called for all the packets of additives. I thought I’d live on the edge and add the nut medley. That’s what people in emotional distress do, they thrill seek!!

I have the BEST news ever and I think everyone will be so proud of me including myself…

After writing my post yesterday afternoon about taking the day off from running and doing it tomorrow (today) I just put my running gear on and flew out the door!!

It was too awesome. I had another 10min mile pace with my first mile at 10:18, my second at 10:16, and my third at 9:31. It was nuts. Then once I got home I did a Nike Training Club arm circuit which I had to modify because I can’t do pushups due to inflamed wrist tendonitis, and I tried to do an abs circuit but decided I was too tired and just hit the shower instead.

So now I really do get today off and I 114% earned it!
