Confessions of a Magazine Hoarder.
Confessions of a Magazine Hoarder. There's nothing more that I love than sticking my nose in a good magazine! Whether your into beauty and fashion, cars, lifestyle or food, there is an array of magazines to get a hold of.
As I'm not really one for reading, I always used to stray from picking up a magazine to try. I would flick through my mums intense collection of 'RED' and 'Instyle' covers to find many many pictures of airbrushed models and flawless looking skin. After feeling very envious of the beauty in front of me I would turn the page only to be faced with pages and pages of tiny writing babbling about who knows what. Obviously feeling very bored and not interested.
It was only really when I turned eleven, and was introduced to 'Shout' magazine by a friend that I started to become intrigued by the fashion and beauty sections. As I had no real interest in who Justin Bieber was dating, I would find myself ignoring these pages and only reading what was important to me. Being the naive preteen I was,  I thought there was not other magazines out there that would interest me. Of course I had heard of Vogue and Elle but after looking through them I knew I found then everything but engaging.
From about Year 8 (12-13 years old) I came across many fashion and beauty magazines I would beg my Mum to buy for me. It was at this time I came obsessed with the shiny covers and perfume infused pages -cliche I know.- For Christmas 2012 my Grandmother was generous enough to get my a six month subscription to Teen Vogue. For those six months I would spend my time reading and circling the photography and beautifully crafted outfits pulled together by a stylish or designer. Taking everything in with wide eyes!
As you can expect I was devastated when the subscription ended. However, being the smart little kid I am, I would go out with my Mum whenever she wanted to get the shopping done and as a "thank you for coming with me shopping present" I would get a new magazine. As a result of my Teen Vogue subscription I was draw to the magazine every time. However, I remember going shopping and seeing that the new issue hadn't been released yet meaning I would have to get the same issue again, but obviously there was no point in that so I searched the shelves for another. After a quick glance my eye was caught my Company magazine. Being new to the beauty community I had no idea if it was a good read or a bit rubbish. Anyway I chose this May's edition and brought it home. Long story short, I love the magazine and it's amazing.
Haha. Erupt ending I know.Confessions of a Magazine Hoarder.
