At the end of the last issue we saw the big pig demon. This chapter starts off with that demon killing Amboola. Thuthmes wants to get the blame passed onto Tanada. After Afari goes to find Agara and tell him his “suspicions”, the village tries to take out Tanada for her crimes. Conan steps in after awakening from a night with a couple of ladies he bailed out on. He lends his services to Tanada because he needs the gold. We then go back to Thuthmes where it looks as if he is going to offer a female slave to the King of Kush but as a means to gain dominance over the King.
I thought I was going to like this series a bit more than I am right now. It has some interesting parts but I am starting to fade a bit from it. Conan is a fun character as he is a tough guy with a sword but beyond the fight scenes, I am losing interest. It might be the time era or location but I have a hard enough time pronouncing some of the names in the book. The pig demon is pretty wicked but I I’ll give next month a final chance for my interest to be sparked again.
