Como Lake , the Piano and Villa Vingoni: 7 June 2013

Villa Vingoni

I hope to have a  good weather on the next Friday. The weather forecast for Friday is good , but this year the season gives a lot of surprises! Where will I go? I will go to one of the concerts on Lake Como- I have anticipated you the program of all the events in one my previous post.  http://www.learnitalianow.net/2013/05/the-spring-music-and-como-lake-in-italy.html Alessandro Marangoni, pianist, will perform. This is  the program scheduled for the concert. Bach: Prelude and Fugue (from the Well-Tempered Clavier, Book I) Clementi: Study no. 1, 5, 24 (from Gradus ad Parnassum) Rossini: Prelude harmless Rossini: Barcarolle *** Chopin: Scherzo no. 2 op. 31 Debussy: Images (Book II) Scriabin: Fantasy Op. 28
Now I tell you my program. The concrete will begin at 21. Friday I will be on vacation then at 12:00 I'm going to do yoga, to pamper my aching back – because of my sedentary lifestyle Then I have to go to the library because I requested two books and they will arrive on Friday. 17:00 in the afternoon: I'll get my parents by car (my mother spent part of her childhood on the Como Lake and I'm glad to bring her to this concert –to remember the places where she was a child). We will get the lake to the 19.

The concert will take place in Villa Vingoni in Loveno Menaggio. Have you ever been to Menaggio? You should definitely go there: a small village with some the Middle Ages details and a beautiful main square -  full of nice restaurants - overlooking the lake . Even if I normally eat later, we will go to eat at 19:00 the lavarello, the typical lake fish, in one of these lovely little restaurants. Then, with a full belly and relaxed, I'm going to enjoy this wonderful concert. I've never seen the villa Vingoni but as soon as I visited I'll tell you how it is. What to say? Let's hope in a good weather and if you are in this area, see you at the concert!
Sono qui a scongiurare che venerdì sera ci sia bel tempo. Il meteo prevede cielo sereno, ma quest’anno al stagione può presentare sorprese!  Dove andrò? Adesso vi dico il mio di programma.
Il concreto inizierà alle 21. Venerdì sarò in ferie quindi alle 12 me ne vado a fare yoga, per coccolare la schiena che a furia di una vita sedentaria si fa sentire! Devo fare poi un salto in biblioteca perché ho richiesto due libri e arrivano venerdì. Ore 17: macchina, vado a prendere i miei ( mia madre ha trascorso parte della sua infanzia sul lago di Como e mi fa piacere portarla d un concerto nei luoghi dove era bambina), arriveremo sul lago verso le 19. Il concerto avrà luogo nella Villa Vingoni a Loveno di Menaggio. Siete mai stati a Menaggio? Dovete assolutamente andarci: un paesino piccolo con richiami al medioevo ed una piazza principale splendida che si affaccia sul lungo lago e piena di ristorantini carini. Nonostante io mangi più tardi penso che andremo a mangiare del lavarello, il tipico pesce di lago, in uno di questi graziosi ristorantini e poi, con la pancia piena e rilassata, mi godrò questo meraviglioso concerto. Non ho mai visto la villa Vingoni ma appena l’avrò visitata vi racconterò come è.  Cosa dire? Speriamo che il meteo abbia ragione e, se siete in zona, ci vediamo al concerto!
