Coloressence Lipstick in Misty Maroon - Review & Swatches

Hi everyone,Today I shall be reviewing a lipstick from the brand Colorsessence which is a make up range manufactured by Nature's essence which essentially  makes skin care products. This shade is from their basic line of lipstick. This one was gifted to me. Although I would not go for such kind of shades but let us see what I think of this lipstick in review today. The shade is Misty Maroon. Read on to know more..

The lipstick comes in a black matte casing which looks classy. The cap click locks and is sturdy. It is travel friendly as the cap does  not get loose. The name of the brand is embossed on the lipstick. The shade name is mentioned at the bottom so is the name. It comes in a cardboard casing which does not allow it to get scratched easily but then who keeps it right?

The shade as it rightly says is Maroon in color. Ideally Maroon is a brownish red color according to Wikipedia but this one looks more purple. If you are from India one would associate anyone wearing these shades of lipsticks by elderly women.. Hehehe... But times have changed and I never listen to anyone or follow trends I just try everything and most of the shades suit me. The shade in the lip swatch is much lighter. In reality its quite dark and not everyone may be able to sport it ;)

                                                            (The shade is much darker than what it appears here)I found teeny tiny shimmer which is not visible to the naked eye. It is finely milled and will not cause much problem. The lipstick is semi matte.It glides on smoothly on  the lips and I found it a bit moisturizing too. The shade is long lasting since it is richly pigmented and lasts for nearly 6 hours. It leaves a nice tint once it fades. Hence I would say for the price it is a nice lipstick provided this is not your favorite shade ;)The Good:Easily available online and over the counter too.Formula is semi matte.Sturdy matte black packaging which shuts well.Does not contain shimmer.Long lasting.Smells nice100% vegetarian brand.The shade brightens your teeth & the face.Travel friendly.The not so Good: Shade is a personal preference.Stains the lips a bit.Complete ingredients list missing.Rating: 4/5Coloressence Lipstick in Misty Maroon is a lovely dark purple color with pink undertones.
