Color of Year 2018 Ultra Violet

Pantone has announced the color of year 2018 and its provocative and thoughtful Ultra Violet. I love purple color and all its shades so much. It is a blue base purple color which is very complex and mysterious. After a few years of pastel and earthy shade pantone has given this color like a breath of fresh air. Purple is always associated with luxury, royalty, mystique, and future.
The color violet is a combination of red and blue therefore, in Chinese painting, red and blue (Yin and yang respectively) represents the harmony of the universe. In Hinduism and Buddhism violet is associated with the Crown Chakra.
Violet is one of the oldest colors used by man. Traces of very dark violet, made by grinding the mineral manganese, mixed with water or Aanimal fat and then brushed on the cave wall or applied with the fingers, are found in the prehistoric cave art in Pech Merle, in France, dating back about twenty-five thousand years. It has also been found in the cave of Altamira and Lascaux.
